Windows in Wonderland

I love the mad hatter quality of holiday windows in NYC— these, I photographed at Bergdorf Goodman.

Lots to take in visually, they're almost as overwhelming and jam packed as the city itself during this season.

I think these are tame compared to what goes on in your head everyday. Not being paranoid—ok, being paranoid—you might consider putting (In)Decorous Taste on your photographs so the stalkers out there with less talent and integrity don't continue to steal your photos and use them on their blogs without credit.

Wow, I really miss NY this time of year! These photos turned out great...the windows never cease to amaze me; it is an art form unto itself.

Absolutely amazing! And thanks for including all the details - my sister in NY actually sent me some photos of these windows yesterday but (sshhh don't tell her) yours are better! Thanks for the wonder and delight.....Robin

Can we please go back- permanently. I'd sell my soul to that city with out a hint of regret.

Home Before Dark- What's happening in my head is just as jumbled sometimes, too. Thanks for looking out for my photos- you're probably right about marking them in some way.

Tara- it's one of my favorite things about the holidays in NYC! You just don't see the same degree of display insanity here in Philadelphia, which is beyond disappointing.

Transformations- Thanks, your secret is safe here!

Little Augury- I had the same thought about the mirrored window when I saw it!! I guess Photoshop can fill in the gaps where imagination leaves off...How hilarious would that be?

So. I discovered your blog today after I had already slept through most of my classes, and when I started hitting "older post" I became unstoppable. Thankfully, you saved me from going to the remainder of my classes, but now I am probably doomed to continue my backtracking until I reach your very first post. Creepy? Maybe.
